New Jersey Police and Firefighters’ call to
ORGAN - IZE
July 21, 2010 - 9am
Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ

On July 21st, 2009, Detective Marc DiNardo made the ultimate sacrifice performing his duties heroically as a member of the Jersey City Police Department. Detective DiNardo not only gave his life in the performance of his duties but continued to give life to others as an organ donor.

This July 21st, commemorating the 1 year anniversary of Detective Marc DiNardo's death, police, firefighters, and EMTs will assemble at Liberty State Park in Jersey City in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty and across the river from the World Trade Center site, to celebrate public service and acknowledge a legacy of giving.

With the full understanding that July 21st is a summer weekday that falls smack into one of the most popular vacation periods, your attendance is strongly requested. Every member of the Police, Fire, and Emergency Service who is not on vacation and not scheduled to work is being challenged to assemble in a show of support and respect for all of our brothers and sisters who have made the ultimate sacrifice and on whose shoulders we now stand.

No part-time job and no social event could be more important than you joining us on July 21st, at 9am, to send a much needed message to anyone who has forgotten what we do, why we do it, and the sometimes tragic consequences we suffer as a result.
